FECYT Renews ISGlobal’s Designation as Unit of Scientific Culture and Innovation

The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) will continue to be a Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i) at least until ends of 2019. The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the institution that awards these seals, has renewed ISGlobal’s UCC+i seal.

This accreditation recognizes the work of ISGlobal in communication and dissemination of science and allows the institute to be part of a community formed by the more than 80 Units of Scientific Culture and Innovation throughout Spain.

The participation of ISGlobal in the UCC+i network allows the institute to be in contact with professionals from all over Spain, to share resources and communication materials as well as scientific dissemination and experiences in the annual meetings of ComCiRed (Scientific Communication Network). In fact, ISGlobal participated in the last ComCiRed meeting held in May in Granada, where it which presented a citizen science project on air pollution and health.
