The video series released by ISGlobal in November 2014 as part of the #ObjectHealth campaign has been awarded the Manuel Castillo Award in journalism by the University of Valencia's Patronat Sud-Nord. The Manuel Castillo Awards recognise and publicise work in the areas of international cooperation, peace, and sustainable human development which they consider to be of the highest interest to Spanish society.

José Luis Vila-San-Juan, director of the 15 #ObjectHealth videos, will collect the award on Monday, 8 June at a ceremony hosted by Dr Esteban Morcillo, rector of the University of Valencia, in the main auditorium of the university's La Nau building. The award will be shared with Germán Caballero, director of the documentary Voces del Gurugú.

The other winners in the sixth edition of the Manuel Castillo Awards include Sergio Tezanos, a professor of applied economics at the University of Cantabria, whose paper "Reshaping geographical allocation of aid: the role of immigration in Spanish Official Development Assistance" has been named best published research monograph. Mario López Gómez, a student at the University of Murcia, has been chosen as the winner in the unpublished research category for his paper "Nuevos frentes de actuación en educación para el desarrollo humano".

ISGlobal created #ObjectHealth to draw attention to the many gaps in health equity worldwide. The campaign consisted of 15 short videos broadcast on Spanish national television and 15 articles published in the "Planeta Futuro" section of the El País newspaper over the course of three weeks last November. In these pieces, international global health experts discussed major global health problems and ways in which they could be addressed through science and innovation.
