Daniel Medina, a Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technician started his research career working as a diagnostic technician in the Pediatric Oncology unit at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, where he developed expertise in molecular biology techniques. In 2023, he joined the Malaria Immunology Group part-time, providing support to different projects and acquiring skills in immunology, focusing on sample processing, ELISA, and Luminex assays. During this time, he also collaborated with the Malaria Physiopathology and Genomics Group led by Alfredo Mayor, where he increased his knowledge in molecular biology also applied to malaria research. In 2024, he transitioned to a full-time role in the Malaria Immunology Group and began pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Barcelona, aiming to further his education and enhance his research career.
