Bioestadística Malaria y enfermedades parasitarias desatendidas

Helena Martí Soler, PhD, is a biostatistician specializing in Public Health and Epidemiology. She holds a degree in Statistics from the UAB and UPC, a Master’s in Public Health, and a PhD in Biostatistics from the Université Paris-Sud, INSERM and the Centre for Research in Epidemiology and Population Health, in France. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biostatistics and cardiovascular epidemiology at the IUMSP, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

She is part of the Migrant Health Group, and her main research focuses on developing predictive models using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques, with a particular interest in improving the health of migrants.

In recent years, her research has focused on malaria, specifically within the framework of the Mozambican Alliance Towards the Elimination of Malaria project, a collaboration between ISGlobal and the Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM). Her work has involved  using time series analysis to evaluate the impact of interventions and analyzing various vector control products.
