Técnico de investigación Medio ambiente y salud a lo largo de la vida

Pol Jiménez Arenas holds a degree in Human Biology from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He did a four-month internship in the Translational Molecular Pathology Lab at Vall d’Hebron Institut de Rercerca (VHIR), under the supervision of Prof. Trond Aasen, studying the function of Cx43 in TNT formation and its role in breast cancer.

He finished his degree at ISGlobal, conducting a study titled ‘Perinatal mental health of pregnant women and difficult temperament of their offspring at 6 months’, under the direction of Mar Álvarez Pedrerol. From then on, he has been working as a research technician on the BiSC project, a study with the objective of improving understanding of the effect of environmental exposure during pregnancy and children development.

In addition, he is currently undertaking a Master of Public Health at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona – Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Among his main interests, he is passionate about children development and urban pollution, with a focus on neurodevelopment disorders and socioeconomic inequities.
