Investigadora predoctoral Clima, contaminación atmosférica, naturaleza y salud urbana

Anne Thompson is an early-career public health professional with a specialization in environmental health, global health, and mental health. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Spanish Language and Literature from University of San Diego and her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University School of Public Health. The specialization of her MPH largely focused on the impact of climate change on health, particularly in vulnerable, exploited, and under-resourced populations. Her background includes hospital administration, education and training, qualitative research, and project management.

In 2025, she joined the EARLY-ADAPT (ERC-CoG) team at ISGlobal as a predoctoral researcher to investigate how social and structural determinants of health affect climate change adaptation in Europe. Her long-term research interests lie in exploring the relationship between environmental hazards, such as extreme temperatures and air pollution, and adverse mental health outcomes, such as suicidality and psychotic disorders.
