Megan Naidoo is a public health professional in evidence-based research and policy. Her expertise lies in the intersection between the social and quantitative sciences.

Currently, she is a predoctoral researcher in Health Impact Assessment at ISGlobal and a PhD candidate in Medicine and Translational Research at the University of Barcelona. Her PhD is on social vulnerability in epidemic modelling.

She has an undergraduate degree in Biology and International Affairs from Bard College, USA, and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Epidemiology from Columbia University, USA.

Megan has previously worked at Pfizer, Medecins Sans Frontieres, the National Center for Disaster Preparedness, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Stellenbosh University. She is the author of ten peer-reviewed publications and three government reports.

Her strengths encompass strong research, data, and policy analysis, and her skill set includes geographic information systems, data visualization, and writing for a variety of audiences. Megan is also a skilled speaker, having presented at three international conferences and helped launch South Africa's anti-racism campaign with President Ramaphosa.

Megan is dedicated to interdisciplinary public health and human rights, and hopes to leverage research to guide international policy.
