Maria Tusell holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona and a Masters in Global Health from ISGlobal and the University of Barcelona. In 2017, she joined the MESA Alliance, where she supported the WHO Global Malaria Programme by mapping evidence on malaria elimination for policy development. She later moved to Dr Caterina Guinovart's group, where she is pursuing a PhD in malaria epidemiology and implementation science. She was involved in the pilot implementation of a programmatic mass drug administration campaign for malaria in southern Mozambique as part of the ADAM project.
