Science with Society Hub

Science with Society Hub

The ISGlobal Science with Society Hub (SwS-Hub) aims to engage people in science. Directed by Ana Requena and co-coordinated by Raul Toran and Anne-Sophie Gresle, the SwS-Hub aspires to become a reference point for other institutions in Spain and Europe on issues related to participatory research in healthcare provision and health-related research areas, with a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SwS-Hub operates across three main areas:

  • Participatory Research and Innovation
  • Capacity Building
  • Outreach

As a collaborative and transversal initiative within the institution, the SwS-Hub seeks to promote co-creation and foster patient and public involvement in health research. By actively engaging patients, caregivers, and citizens, this hub aims to achieve a more collaborative and inclusive approach to science that better addresses societal needs.

More than 30 members of ISGlobal are actively participating in the SwS-Hub.
