Cèlia Torres Vilanova graduated with a BSc in Biotechnology, specializing in Biomedical Biotechnology, from Rovira i Virgili University in 2022. She then pursued an MSc in Omics Data Analysis at the University of Vic.

During the third year of her bachelor's degree, Cèlia began her research career at the Institut d’Investigació Sanitària Pere i Virgili, where she worked for a year and a half as a Laboratory Technician and Data Analyst. In this role, she conducted metabolite extractions and analyzed untargeted metabolomics data. For her master's thesis, Cèlia joined the Malaria Immunology group at ISGlobal, performing transcriptomics analyses to investigate the effect of ivermectin on non-severe COVID-19 patients.

After completing her thesis, Cèlia continued with the group as a Cellular Immunology Laboratory Technician and Data Scientist, contributing to various SARS-CoV-2 cellular immunology projects and being involved in all stages of research, from flow cytometry assays to data analysis.
