Pablo Iañez Picazo has a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Granada and an MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Copenhagen. He is interested in the potential application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms to biomedical data.

He has bioinformatics expertise in applying machine learning models in protein and genomic data, as well as working with single-cell data. He has participated in the ESPACE consortium inside the Human Cell Atlas, building the first multi-omics single-cell atlas of the human pancreas.

Now, he is a UPF predoctoral student at the Biomedical Data Science group, where he is studying the application of machine learning and computer vision algorithms to decipher the aging of stem cells using microscopy images.
