Jovito Nunes

Predoctoral External Researcher

Jovito Nunes holds a Bsc in Computer Science and Masters in Business Administration. He has over 15 years of collective working experience in the tobacco industry, NGO, the energy sector, banking and humanitarian response. He has also worked as Sexual Reproductive Health & Gender Based Violence Program Analyst and Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at UNFPA Mozambique during the emergency, recovery and reconstruction phase post cyclone Idai and Kenneth.

Prior to working at UNFPA, Jovito Nunes worked at BancABC Mozambique as Head of IT for 8 years, were he was responsible for implementing analytical solutions to foster innovation and improve customer experience in the bank. Prior to BancABC he worked at British American Tobacco, Oxfam and Engco.

Jovito Nunes is part of the Environmental Health Hub at Manhiça Health Research Centre (CISM) in Mozambique, where he is researching on environmental health with focus on air pollution and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
