Associated Researcher Global Viral and Bacterial Infections

Griselda Tudó has a degree in Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). In 1992, She joined the Mycobacteria section at the Department of Microbiology Laboratory of the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, as a student/collaborator. She obtained a PhD in 2004 (UB) with a research project focused on the study of the transmission of tuberculosis in the nosocomial and community context. After a postdoctoral stay at the St. George's Hospital of London (2005-2007,) she returned as a researcher at the Department of Microbiology.

Since 2013, she is Associate Professor of the Facultat de Medicina i Ciències de la Salut, Universitat de Barcelona.

Currently, she is working in different lines related to Mycobacterium spp., such as the standardisation of a microbiological study model of drug combinations versus M. tuberculosis and non-tuberculous Mycobacteria (checkerboard assay, time-kill curves, macrophage infected model) and biofilm.
