Laura Delgado-Ortiz

Predoctoral Fellow Environment and Health over the Lifecourse

Laura studied Government and International Relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia (Colombia). She holds a Master degree in Global Health, and a Master degree in Clinical Research - International Health, both from the Universitat de Barcelona (Spain).

Before joining ISGlobal, Laura worked in the private pharmaceutical industry, in the area of Rare diseases, in topics related to dissemination activities, patients’ organizations and access. 

She is a predoctoral researcher at ISGlobal within the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Environment Programme, where she works under the supervision of Prof. Judith Garcia-Aymerich.

Laura works in the Mobilise-D project, an IMI funded project that aims to develop and validate digital technologies that are able to monitor and evaluate the real-world walking and gait of individuals living with diverse health conditions. Within this project, her research is mainly focused on a multi-dimensional characterisation of walking in individuals living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other chronic conditions.
