Javier Solana is president of the ESADE Centre for Global Economy and Geopolitics (Barcelona-Madrid) and vice-president of ISGlobal’s board of trustees.

He is also a distinguished fellow in foreign policy at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, a Fisher Family Fellow at Harvard, president of the Aspen Institute España, honorary president of the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva, and a board member of the International Crisis Group, the European Council on Foreign Relations, and Human Rights Watch.

He is also a senior visiting professor at the London School of Economics, where he was awarded an Honorary Degree in December 2010.
