Job offer: Technician for European Project GOLIAT

We are looking for a full-time technician to join our young, dynamic BrainChild Lab led by Prof. Mònica Guxens (https://www.isglobal.org/en/our-team/-/profiles/18628). The candidate will work in the project GOLIAT (5G exposure, causal effects, and risk perception through citizen engagement) funded by Horizon Europe (grant agreement 101057262) (https://projectgoliat.eu). The candidate will work on coordination of data collection and data cleaning in the several European cohorts involved in the project. The work will also involve the analysis of the collected data and the preparation of a scientific manuscript. The candidate will gain skills in exposure assessment, environmental epidemiology, and statistical methods. 
 

• Master in epidemiology, public health, or related discipline

• Coordinating fieldwork in the different cohorts involved in the study 
• Preparing data scripts for cleaning the data and calculating the exposures of interest 
• Conducting data analysis of the data collected
• Collaboration with the study teams and external specialists

• Previous experience in the research topic is an advantage
• Experience in processing and managing of datasets, as well as in statistical packages, preferably STATA and R
• Motivated researcher capable of setting and meeting deadlines and delivering research outputs to the required standard
• Strong organization and team-working skills
• Professional attitude with attention to details
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) 
• Team player, yet capable of working autonomously, rational and critical thinker

• Duration:     9 months (extendable)
• Starting date:    September 1st 2024
• Contract: (part or full time) Full-time (40h/week)
• Salary Range: 22,000-27,000€

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
