WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

ISGlobal is seeking a Personal Assistant who will assist Alberto García-Basteiro, leader of the Tuberculosis Group, with the smooth running of administrative and communications tasks related to TB research projects and the overall TB unit.

The research group on Tuberculosis focuses on 4 main lines of investigation:

  • Determine disease burden in vulnerable populations (children, HIV-infected, pregnant)
  • Assess the impact of innovative strategies for the active search for cases based on spatial parameters, population density and microbial load in index cases
  • Evaluate new diagnostic tools in contexts of high prevalence of TB and HIV
  • Evaluate new biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of TB
     

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Biology, Global Health, Political Science, Sociology or related fields
  • Professional Training in Administration
  • 2+ working experience in administration / personal assistant roles 
     

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with the organization of in presence and online meetings & events
  • Planning and organizing trips, and high-level visits required for the projects
  • Support the PI in any administrative need related to research projects
  • Managing the communications (website, social media management, events etc.) of different research projects.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
