Maria Neira, Director of Public Health, WHO, will discuss about the situation after the Copenhagen summit

Dr Maria Neira, Director of the Department of Health and Environment of the World Health Organization (WHO) will offer next Thursday, March 4, the scientific session entitled "Post-Copenhagen: Current climate change agenda and health".

Dr Neira will explain what the agenda following the agreements reached after about 10 days of negotiations at the Copenhagen summit which took place between 7 and 18 December 2009.

The event will take place at 16:00 pm in the Auditorium of PRBB and it's no needed to book.

Currículum vitae

Maria Neira Gonzalez is a graduate in Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oviedo and a specialist in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, University René Descartes in Paris. Medical professional since 1984, Maria Neira has made numerous scientific publications, participating in more than 400 seminars, conferences and given presentations in over 80 countries. He also coordinated strategic plans of WHO in many Third World countries.
