Pompeu Fabra University and Mar Health Park Become ISGlobal Partners

At its most recent meeting in November, the Board of Trustees of the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) voted to appoint Mar Health Park and Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) as partners of the Institute. The addition of these new partners furthers the integration of ISGlobal with the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL), a process that will be completed within the next few months.

Mar Health Park and UPF join the "la Caixa" Foundation, the Hospital Clínic, the University of Barcelona, the Catalan Government, the Spanish Government, the Barcelona City Council, and the Ramón Areces Foundation as ISGlobal partners.

Mar Health Park

Mar Health Park is a public healthcare consortium comprising several facilities in Barcelona, including the Hospital del Mar, the Hospital del Mar Institute for Medical Research (IMIM) and the various health-sciences teaching facilities that make up the Mar University Campus.

Pompeu Fabra University

UPF is a public university with an international orientation and an intensive research programme that has been recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education as a Campus of International Excellence. The focus of the university is on three broad areas of knowledge: 1) social and human sciences, 2) health and life sciences (on the Mar Campus), and 3) information and communication sciences and technologies.
