COVID-19 in Spain: Total Lockdown and Medium-Term Strategies

Carlos Chaccour, Assistant Research Professor at ISGlobal, underlines the importance of establishing severe measures to avoid the health system overwhelming. According to the scientist, the implementation of a more severe lockdown for a limited time can be used to think, plan and implement a long term and much more flexible strategy, such as the one that used South Korea that has allowed them to reduce transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19.
