Aidan Watmuff has research interests in the impact of the urban environment on health, with a degree in Human Geography and a masters in Geographic Data Science, both from the University of Liverpool. He has previously worked for the Born in Bradford study (BiB, UK) as a data analyst, where he was responsible for data harmonisation projects (including ATHLETE) and geographic database creation. He collaborated on numerous national and international children’s health studies providing expertise on the use of geographic data.

Aidan has previously worked at ISGlobal as a visiting researcher, where he developed a protocol for using GPS data from the BiB study to create improved estimates of time spent in microenvironments. He now returns as a GIS technician as part of Martine Vrijheid’s team, where he will expand this protocol to the rest of the HELIX studies.
