Dinis Bento Nguenha

Dinis Nguenha is a medical doctor and a PhD student at the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD) and ISGlobal. He is an assistant researcher with experience leading and supervising clinical study teams. His work actively contributes to the Ministry of Health’s National Quality Improvement Program, promoting implementation science research to generate practical, evidence-based solutions for critical public health challenges.

His research focuses on the clinical epidemiology of tuberculosis, with a strong emphasis on developing innovative diagnostic tools, treatments, and vaccines. His work is particularly relevant in the context of emerging TB vaccine research. He is also dedicated to improving methods for estimating TB disease burden and advancing the understanding of tuberculosis from microbiological, clinical, and societal perspectives.
