Saba Mohamed Bibi is a community health agent whose vision is to cultivate healthier and more knowledgeable communities.

During her PhD programme, she designed and implemented the first culturally and linguistically appropriate nutrition education programme for 140 Pakistani women residing in Catalonia. The initiative aimed to improve their eating habits and empower them as ambassadors of healthy eating within their communities. This work laid the foundation for seven additional projects and the engagement of over 300 community members.

The programme's success also translated into academic contributions and a health guide published in both Catalan and Urdu. This transformative experience has inspired her to continue championing initiatives that promote health and well-being in diverse communities. For this reason, she has joined the ISGlobal Public Health Liver Group to provide support and leadership within VH-COMSAVAC. As an EU co-funded project, VH-COMSAVAC is designed to scale up and adapt a community-based model of care for HBV and HCV testing, linkage to care, and HBV vaccination among migrants and refugees from intermediate- and high-prevalence countries.

Promoting liver health aligns closely with her vision of equipping communities with the knowledge and resources needed for early detection and prevention of liver-related diseases. By integrating culturally- and linguistically-sensitive health education undertakings, she is bridging the gaps in healthcare access and a healthier future for all.
