Oferta de trabajo: Research Technician for iMAP Project

ISGlobal is looking for a 3 research technicians to cover the technical work in a research project on cognitive function and urban environment in the adult population in the framework of the iMAP study Barcelona “The international Mind, Activities and urban Places in Barcelona study (iMAP Barcelona study): Building the evidence base on the relationships between environment, active living and cognitive health”. The overarching aim of this study is to examine the extent to which, how, and for whom aspects of the urban environment influence brain health and cognitive health in 600 mid-aged and older (50-79 years) community dwellers living in Barcelona, Spain.

We are looking for profiles to arrange appointments and interview the study participants, set the study devices, download and introduce the data into a dataset. 

• Arranging the participant’s visits 
• Preparation of the devices for the study measurements. 
• Interviews with the participants
• Data entry and data transfer.  
• Carrying out cleaning, quality control, and documentation of the databases used.
• Participating in the logistics required by the study.

• Previous experience in research studies, interviewing study participants, data collection and/or database processing will be valued, as well as knowledge in environmental epidemiology. 

Specific Requirements:

• We are looking for a person with high communication skills, as well as a professional attitude towards study participants, with attention to details.  Moreover, we are looking for a person with high organization and teamwork skills, capable of working autonomously, proactively and motivated, with good verbal and written communication. Flexibility of schedules will be highly valued as interviews may be in the afternoon.

• Catalan and Spanish.
• Knowledge of English will be highly valued. 

• Duration: 4-5 months 
• Starting date:  Mid/End August

• Salary range: based on internal ISGlobal scales

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
