La ceremonia de graduación marca el final de los programas de máster ISGlobal-UB 2023/2024
38 estudiantes de 20 países reciben los títulos de máster y diploma en salud global
31.07.2024La Facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad de Barcelona vibró de emoción el pasado 5 de julio. Los estudiantes, junto con sus familias y amigos, se reunieron para celebrar la ceremonia de graduación del curso 2023/2024. Concluían el Máster en Salud Global, el Diploma de Fundamentos en Salud Global y el Máster en Investigación Clínica: Especialidad Salud Internacional, impartidos por la Universidad de Barcelona y el Instituto de Salud Global de Barcelona (ISGlobal).
La ceremonia se abrió con los discursos de felicitación de Núria Casamitjana, directora de Formación y Educación de ISGlobal y de Quique Bassat, director general de ISGlobal. Ambos elogiaron el duro trabajo y los innovadores proyectos de investigación de los estudiantes, deseándoles éxito para el futuro. Stella Evangelidou, experta en el área de la salud mental, pronunció un discurso alentador con analogías de la mitología griega.
El discurso de despedida corrió a cargo de Robert Newman, director ejecutivo de AMP Health. En él abordó su trayectoria personal en el campo de la salud global, convaliosas lecciones para los recién licenciados.
Bailey Crowley, Carolyn Pine, Naeema Hussein El Kout, Anete Mendes Muxlhanga y Logan Carter representaron a los estudiantes y compartieron sus experiencias con humor y gratitud.
Tras los discursos, se entregaron los títulos de Máster y Diploma a 38 estudiantes: 19 del Máster en Salud Global, incluidos dos del Programa de Máster tropEd; uno del Diploma en Fundamentos de la Salud Global; y 18 del Máster en Investigación Clínica: Especialidad Salud Internacional.
36 estudiantes presentaron con éxito sus proyectos finales en el mes de julio sobre una amplia gama de temas de salud global, que van desde la ciencia básica a las evaluaciones del impacto en la salud.
"Estamos orgullosos de la excelente progreso y investigación que los estudiantes han realizado durante el último año", expresó Núria Casamitjana. "Están, sin duda, muy equipados para afrontar los retos críticos de salud global en el mundo".
